The University Diploma in Wildlife Medicine was presented in Pico

On the premises of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, in General Pico, the presentation of the 2nd Edition of the Higher University Diploma in Wildlife Medicine took place.

The director of the same, Adrián Peta, the dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Abelardo Ferrán, the deputy director of Fauna of the Province, Adriana García, and participating veterinary doctors participated in the event.

Ferrán welcomed the participants, recalling that “there was a first diploma course that had excellent repercussions, for which, after coordinating actions with the Ministry of Production through the Directorate of Natural Resources, it was decided to start this second edition”.

For her part, Adriana García said that “we seek to inform, fundamentally, the legal framework that the province of La Pampa has, which in turn regulates the use of wildlife.”

Adrián Peta indicated that this second cohort “has a comprehensive action so that veterinarians know perfectly well what to do with animals that appear on public roads or in rural areas, injured, injured, with the conservation of species, and also in the face of the issue management of pets, today called new companion animals”.

“The idea is that they have the basic medical tools, but also the legislation that protects all this to know how to handle each situation. The idea is that there are technical tools that improve the way of treating animals in any of the situations”, concluded Peta.
