Chandrayaan-3 is a space probe of the Indian space agency, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), launched on July 14, 2023.

The space probe landed on August 23, 2023 on the surface of the Moon not far from the South Pole three days after the space probe failed Russian Luna 25 having the same objective of reaching this lunar region. The rover and the lander must perform various measurements using their instruments. The duration of the mission on lunar soil is 14 Earth days (one lunar day).
