In an interview with “The Howard Stern Show” as part of the promotional activities for the sale of his memoir, John Stamos told what that brief meeting of the cast of “Three by Three” with the Olsen twins was like.
The actor who played Uncle Jesse first explained why he considered that the twins had not agreed to be part of “Fuller House.” “At first I was disappointed because I thought it would be nice to have them on the show and I read in the press that they just didn’t want it, because they weren’t acting anymore. In the interview, which you can see below, Stamos also recounted the conversation they had with the Olsen twins when they participated in the funeral of Bob Saget, who died in January 2022.
“They arrived and it was so beautiful. I think we all needed it. We met and they told us ‘we love you and we love our childhood, we are grateful for you and we thank you for making the 8 years we were together something so beautiful. We have very beautiful memories,’” said the actor, who considers that it was a gesture promoted, in a certain way, by the spirit of Saget.
“Three by Three” was an ABC series that aired from 1987 to 1995.
