Director P Balachandrakumar says that the VIP seen at Dileep’s house can be identified. The VIP is the one who speaks in a special way. He was speaking to the media after giving a secret statement in the Ernakulam FCJM court. Further details of the statement given to the investigating team were given in court. The statement was recorded by the court on page 51. The court was also told the reason for the delay in telling the truth. P Balachandrakumar said that there will be more witnesses in the case from the film industry.
Conclusion that the footage was leaked
The police concluded that the defamatory footage of the attack on the actress had reached many others through Sunil Kumar, the first accused in the case. Director Balachandra Kumar has revealed that actor Dileep was released on bail through a VIP. Police have launched an investigation to find the VIP.
The footage taken by Sunil Kumar (Pulsar Suni) was leaked to a VIP who was very close to Dileep. According to Balachandra Kumar, the VIP handed it over to Dileep after he took it to a studio in Kochi and doubled the volume. The police concluded that the technicians who were present at the studio when the volume was increased may have seen the footage. Indications are that the footage captured on the mobile phone was transferred to the pen drive via a computer and delivered to the studio. The Crime Branch is trying to recover the footage that violates the privacy of the attacked actress.
Suni first told the police that he had covered his mobile phone and dumped it in a ditch in the Thammanam area. However, it could not be found. He later said that he handed over his mobile phone and SIM card to a lawyer in Angamaly before going into hiding. The lawyer presented in court was another mobile phone. The actress has told the police that the footage was recorded on another phone.
