The company “LYDEC”, overseeing the authorized measure for the water and electricity sectors in Casablanca, has officially announced the start date for the reduction of water flow through taps, in various districts of the capital. economic.

In a notice published by it, the French company said that the reduction of water flow in the city will start to be applied from next December, due to the continuous decline of the water stock in the region.

The circular notice stated that to avoid any interruption in the supply of drinking water, citizens should ensure the proper functioning of the pump booster in buildings of 5 floors or more.

This new measure will continue indefinitely, as precipitation, if it rains heavily, will allow a return to normal, and the continuation of the drought will push the company to take more “painful” measures.
