Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The White House Strategic Communications Coordinator, John Kirby, answered a question about whether US President Joe Biden had been deliberately infected with the Corona virus in Saudi Arabia, describing the theory as “ridiculous.”
During a White House press briefing, Kirby was asked: “President Biden may have started to show symptoms (Corona) 4 days after his return from Saudi Arabia. Did the US government rule out the possibility that the Saudi government had deliberately exposed Biden to the virus?”
Kirby answered the question, saying, “I think I have to go back to Karen (White House spokeswoman) on this question. Talking about the president’s health is outside my purview.”
The US official continued, “But I don’t know where this idea came from, I don’t know, what prompted you to ask this question anyway, but the idea of a foreign country intentionally infecting the president of the United States of America with a virus is ridiculous, the idea is really ridiculous.”
And Kirby added, “There is no such thing and it should just be treated as a silly idea,” he said.
It is noteworthy that Biden arrived in Jeddah from Israel on July 15 and held meetings with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and a number of Arab leaders at the Jeddah Summit.
