Prominent guests and an exuberant atmosphere at the theatre’s big anniversary celebration.
On Tuesday evening, the Wiener Metropol looked back on 20 years of musical history from its own “musical workshop”. At the same time, the revival of the Metropol musical “Rock my Soul” was celebrated, which can be seen in the Metropol until October 29, 2022.
Successful productions
In addition to the compilation of numerous metropolitan musical productions, there were also prominent guests such as the “Rock my Soul” ensemble with Andy Lee Lang, Reinwald Kranner, Vincent Bueno, Stella Jones, Conny Mooswalder, Stefan Altenhofer & Valentin Frantsits, and the Ti Amo couple Adriana Zartl & Stefano Bernardin on stage. Peter Hofbauer, host of the Wiener Metropol, hosted the evening.
The facility has enjoyed great success over the past few years with productions such as “Divas – The Show must go on”, the country musical “Go West” and the Italopop musical “Ti Amo”. The 20-year balance sheet also thanks the artists who played a key role in this success. Prominent figures from the fields of culture, business and politics looked back on his work to date together with theater manager Hofbauer.

Among the prominent guests were Cornelius Obonya, Birgit Sarata, Heinz Stiastny, Monika Erb, Ernst Woller, Gerti Senger, Werner & Martina Fasslabend, Tamara Trojani, Konstantin Schenk, Manfred Ainedter, Burkhard Ernst, Johann Golob, Gerhard Ernst, Erich Furer , Gabriela Benesch, Ernst Minar, Gernot Kranner, Markus Richter, Vera Russwurm, Peter Thirring and Petra Wrabetz.
Operetta great Birgit Sarata was enthusiastic: “A colorful program with the most beautiful melodies from productions of the last 20 years.”
