Everything is in the name of Manarkadu Nalumanikat.. Charubench, Alemkat and rice paddies. For those who want to be away from the hustle and bustle, why should they look elsewhere? I am waiting to calm down, let the four o’clock wind wake me up. This is a roadside tourism project which has become a model for the state itself. The project has been designed to enjoy the beauty of paddy fields on the sides of the Manarkad—Etumanur bypass road. Many tourists come here from different parts of the district to catch the breeze and enjoy the evening. The project was started in 2011 under the leadership of Residents Association of Manarkad – Etumanoor Bypass Road. It is also an ideal place for low-cost tourism. Many entertainment facilities are also arranged here for children. One of the major attractions here is Kudumbashree’s food stalls where local food is available.
