Around 100 women from the Congo Women’s Organization (OFC) responded to the coronavirus screening caravan on January 14, 2021, under the leadership of their president

The screening operation took place at the national public health laboratory in Brazzaville. The first samples took place in the presence of the Minister of Health, Jacqueline Lydia Mikolo. She praised this initiative of women which aims to know their status and better control their health status. The president of the Congo Women’s Organization, Ines Bertille Nefer Ingani explains that this screening campaign wants to give each of its members: “the possibility of discovering their serological status in time in order to be taken care of as quickly as possible and reduce the death rate. We came here to get tested for the coronavirus in order to know our state of health. ” It is worth it ” ; said the head of the organization. “If we discover the infection in time, we will be treated as quickly as possible,” reassures Ines Bertille Nefer Ingani. According to her, it is important for women to be in good health as the presidential elections loom on the horizon. She adds that the operation will continue gradually in all the districts of the capital. The minister in charge of health reminded women to respect barrier measures.
