ICC has awarded four million dollars (approximately Rs. 33.34 crore) to the Australian team after winning the World Cup. Before the World Cup, the ICC had officially released the prize money details.
According to this, a total of 10 million dollars (about Rs. 84 crores) was distributed to the teams in the World Cup as prize money. Australia, who won the sixth title, received around Rs 33.34 crore as prize money. Apart from this, there is a prize for each match win in the group stage. Teams will get prize money of Rs 33.29 lakh for each match they win in the group stage. Accordingly, Australia, who won seven games in the group stage, got two and a quarter crore rupees more, while India, who won nine matches in the group stage, got Rs 2.90 crore more.
