Melanie Courtinat is a creator of digital worlds. Understand: virtual or augmented reality sequences, video games and other immersive formats that she produces for major luxury brands, also for musicians, on commercial order or at the invitation of festivals and galleries. Soon, she will participate alongside around ten artists in an exhibition dedicated to contemporary immersive art at the Pully Art Museum.
How do we recognize our universe? To her characters in tears, to the fragility whose grandeur she affects, to the sensuality of her creatures, their non-binarity too. Has his classic romanticism and his taste for fear. To this light fog, finally, this veil of sadness, which filters all its lights. “Like a cathedral,” she says as she walks us, controller in hand, inside one of her creations.
