As we reported this afternoon, Triple H has officially announced his retirement from the ring. The WWE Hall of Famer was forced to undergo surgery in September of last year due to a congenital heart problem. Since then, he has stayed away from his work within the company, as the direction of NXT, a responsibility that ended up in the hands of Shawn Michaels.
Triple H promised to provide an update on his health status today, which finally resulted in a statement announcing his final retirement as a professional wrestler. It remains to be seen if and in what way he will return to his executive duties within the company, especially if we take into account that in recent months the company has released related staff.
