Good news for the European market, Honor is about to launch two new foldable smartphones with us next month, and we know that one of them will be the highly anticipated Honor Magic V2.
At IFA 2023, Honor will launch two new foldable smartphones in Europe. On September 1st, we should finally see the successor to the excellent Magic Vs, the Magic V2, arrive at home. This folding smartphone was presented in China only a few weeks ago, and we won’t have to wait long for this one to arrive here.
Samsung, which has just launched its Galaxy Z Fold 5, will therefore have to face a major rival this year. The Magic V2 not only offers one of the best technical data sheets on the market, but is also the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone to date, with a thickness of only 4.7 mm when unfolded, and 9.9 mm when folded. By comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is much thicker, at 6.1mm and 13.4mm, respectively.
Honor’s Magic V2 is one of the best foldable smartphones on the market
Its record finesse did not prevent Honor from equipping its Magic V2 with the best components on the market. Not only is there an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, like that of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, but also two 120 Hz LTPO OLED screens. The 6.43-inch outer panel promises 2500 nits of brightness, and the inner panel of 7 .92 inches up to 1600 nits. So it’s better than Samsung on the outside, but not on the inside.
We also find a huge 5000 mAh battery, when the Galaxy Z Fold 5 only offers a 4400 mAh battery. Autonomy therefore promises to be longer. Note also the presence of 3 cameras on the back, with a main sensor of 50 MPa 50 MP ultra wide-angle as well as a 20 MP telephoto lens offering 2.5X optical zoom.
It would seem thatHonor is preparing 2 foldable smartphones for its event, so we must expect to see another model arrive. It should be another smartphone of the same format, not a flip smartphone. We can therefore perhaps expect it to be the first “affordable” model in its category, or the “Ultimate” version of the Magic V2.
