I decided to read the book after watching the series “Anne”. And although books are usually better than film adaptations, in this case I am an absolute fan of the series.
The book is about a little red-haired orphan named Anne, who is taken in by her brother and sister Cuthbert (although they asked for a boy). Anne has a rich imagination, she is dreamy and unusually talkative, which is what makes everyone fall in love with her.
And if the series raises issues that are important even for today through the prism of Anne’s life, the book remains simply a good children’s story.
