WhatsApp remains one of the most popular instant messaging applications in the digital ecosystem. In fact, this platform is part of the Meta conglomerate, so it shares its headquarters with Facebook and Instagram.
As usual, the update applies to both the Android and iOS operating systems, so beta version 2.24.6.5 will offer the same functions for each group.
These are the new features that come with the new WhatsApp update:
- Profile photo protection: This is a security setting. Now, it will not be possible to take screenshots of other users’ profile photos. When you try, you will see the message “Screenshots cannot be taken due to security policy.”
- Search messages in chats by date: WhatsApp users will now have the ability to search for messages by filtering them by specific dates, which will streamline the process. The only thing required is the three dots at the top right of the chat (main menu), select the ‘Search’ option and tap the magnifying glass icon with the calendar.
- New sticker editor and search engine: The update incorporates a platform to acquire stickers from the same application. The options include themes related to movies, series, among others.
- Pin messages in chats: The new version allows you to pin up to three messages in a chat. This dynamic works to not lose them in the conversation and thus always have them at hand.
