Cybersecurity specialists may say it once more and once more, choosing your password with the greatest care is important to protect your data.
The site NordPasswhose job it is, lists password habits and, this year once more, reveals the most common ones.
This list was established in partnership with independent researchers, specialized in researching cybersecurity incidents. NordPass only received statistical information from the researchers, which makes no reference to the personal data of Internet users.
According to the study data, « 123456 », « 123456789 », « azerty », « 1234561 », « azertyuiop » (the entire first line of letters on the keyboard), “000000” are among the top ten favorite passwords of the French.
Then come “Marseille”, “Arsenal”, “Benfica”, for football fans. “minecraft”, “admin”, “administrator”, “p@ssword”, are preferred by technology “specialists”.
Little words of love « loulou », « doudou », « iloveyou » also find their place in this ranking.
The study nevertheless shows some disparities in uses, depending on whether it is access to streaming platforms (very insecure by users) or financial services (usually accompanied by stronger passwords).
