Asunción, IP Agency.- The Binational Entity Yacyretá (EBY) is strengthening its assistance to the department of Ñeembucú, by incorporating three backhoes into the machines that are operating in the area.
The coordinator of EBY in Ñeembucú, Emmanuel Cuevas, said that the provision of these machines responds to a request from the Governor of Ñeembucú and will be carrying out drainage cleaning tasks in urban hubs and road recovery in the department.
He pointed out that the Binacional will finance the rental of the three backhoes, provision of fuel and payment to their operators. With the action of these machines for a period of 60 days, the aim is to mitigate the difficulties experienced by the residents of Ñeembucú, he expressed.
The governor of Ñeembucú, Víctor Hugo Fornerón, highlighted the importance of the EBY’s contribution that will allow work on the recovery of local roads that are impassable, after the heavy rains recorded in the department.
He said that thanks to the support of the President of the Republic Santiago Peña and Vice President Pedro Alliana, there is an important deployment of institutions in the department and a rapid response has been achieved to the request of the residents of the area. He also valued the support provided by the Yacyretá Binational Entity, responding to the directives of Mr. Luis Benítez.
Currently, an amphibious backhoe hired by Binacional is working on cleaning the natural channel of the Las Hermanas stream, in a 20-kilometer stretch.
