Officials from the Investigative, Scientific, Penal and Criminalistics Corps (Cicpc) arrested a 69-year-old citizen on charges of usurping functions as a false dentist.
The capture took place in the Los Naranjillos sector, in Barquisimeto, where the security body seized several materials that were indicated as evidence.
The director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico, specified that the man operated from his residence, which he conditioned as a “clandestine office.” From there, he carried out dental work with equipment such as “lamp, micromotor, turbine and microdrill, dremel, tweezers, forceps, elevators.”
All the tools for dental and orthodontic work were made available to the police agencies.
On Instagram, Rico added that the defendant “exercised services without possessing legal faculties or a university degree,” for which he will be investigated.
The Public Ministry of Lara state is aware of the case.
