Laila Elwi is a famous Egyptian artist, born of an Egyptian father and a Greek mother. She started her artistic career at the age of seven by participating in radio and television programs with her sister Lamia.
The famous artist appeared at the age of fifteen on stage for the first time through the play Eight Sixes, directed by Jalal Al-Sharqawi. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

In the beginning, Alawi entered the artistic field by singing on the radio with her mother when the great artist and broadcaster Hosni Munib heard her and invited her to a test to be one of the children of the radio to perform songs and plays, and from there her artistic beginnings.
The artist’s real concession is related to the first movie she presented, and contrary to what is known. The first movie of the great Egyptian artist was the movie “I, My Daughter and Love”, and that was in 1974, when she accepted simple marginal scenes in order to create a space and opportunity for her in the artistic community, which was what she had with the directors for several years before its launch.
