Shadia’s baffling marriage story tells that her father had many interferences in her work and in her personal life, which the late had told her previously.
Perhaps one of the most important situations that was characterized by quarrels with her father, was before fame, and it was related to marriage, as her family tried to force her to marry against her will, for fear of her artistic future, which she dreamed of at the beginning of her path.
The famous artist said boldly and without shame, in response to a question about her divorce on the night of the wedding, that her father was convinced that she was of the appropriate age for marriage.
Despite that, she was not thinking of anything but her future during this period, and marriage meant killing her dreams before she was born.
She adds that she was surprised that her father brought a new groom, who works as a teacher, and wants to contract the Qur’an directly, pointing to the approval of her family despite her objection, and in fact they established the Qur’an contract.
She continued revealing the details of her suicide attempt in the bedroom, noting that she found that silence this time would not help, so she tried to commit suicide, threateningly, and it was serious for her.
Shadia concluded, by emphasizing that her parents had already agreed to her divorce from him on “Dakhla Night” after they noticed her insistence on committing suicide if this marriage was completed.
