The artist Farouk El-Fishawy was born in Menoufia Governorate, Egypt in 1949. It is strange that the great star Farouk al-Fishawy had admitted his repeated betrayal of Sumaya Al-Alfi during their marriage years, but this did not prevent their friendship after the divorce, to the extent that Sumaya Al-Alfi seizes any television appearance to talk about her ex-husband with respect and appreciation, stressing that she has not met a man like him. Sumaya and Farouk’s friendship became stronger after the latter announced that he had cancer, as he confirmed that Sumaya was one of his strongest supporters in this ordeal.
Al-Fishawi’s confessions also included confirming the betrayal of all his wives, because of his “eyes of detachment and his love for the harem sex,” he said. He described himself as “his eyes are always astray, and that after his third divorce, he decided not to marry.” As for the artist that he loved but did not marry, she is Laila Elwi.
