After reporting that two state police officers were “raised” this Tuesday morning in the municipality of Córdoba, one of the elements was found murdered in a ravine in the community of La Luz Palotal, on the banks of the Córdoba-Chocamán highway.
Previously, police officers were attacked when they were guarding the home of the office manager of the Veracruz Institute for Women (IVM), María del Rocío Villafuerte Martínez. Due to what happened, it was reported that two elements were kidnapped and one more was wounded by a bullet.
“An element of the State Police who fell in the line of duty is reported, an injured element, who was transferred to receive medical attention and one more officer deprived of her liberty,” confirmed the Secretary of Public Security through social networks.
In other words, a female police officer would continue to be kidnapped.
For its part, the corpse of the executed policeman was found handcuffed inside a van.
Given the situation, the SSP announced that they maintain the Red Code operation in the municipality of Córdoba following the attack that occurred on 15th avenue, between 12th and 14th streets.
“One of the vehicles occupied by the attackers was secured. State and federal elements maintain a search and location operation. We urge citizens any information that can serve as support to report it immediately to 9-1-1.
