The Police Commander of the department of La Guajira, Diego Edison Montaña Gómez, has confirmed the seizure of 2,000 vials of Fentanyl in the municipality of Maicao.

According to authorities, this would be the largest shipment of fentanyl found in Colombia so far.

“This operation is the biggest blow caused to these groups that are dedicated to drug trafficking in our region and thus affecting their criminal income by up to 600 million pesos,” said the commander of the La Guajira Police.
