The GNB seized a vehicle in the Simón Planas municipality and found drugs hidden in the trunk.
Two men, including a civilian and an official attached to the Criminal, Scientific, Criminal and Investigative Corps (Cicpc) were taken into police custody for allegedly transporting 6 panels of marijuana.
A commission from the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) detained the citizens at a Citizen Control Point (PAC), in the Simón Planas municipality, Lara state.
The agents searched a vehicle, model Aveo, where they found the drug hidden inside the trunk.
It was reported that the weight of the illicit substance yielded a total of 3,226 kilos.
The detained official, as indicated on social networks, belongs to the Barinas State Drug Coordination.
