The song-trailer launch of the film Vithutalai, in which he is playing the lead role, was held in Chennai last day. The actor has described an interesting incident that happened on the sets of the film directed by Vetrimaran.
Suri shared an incident where a mother mistook her for actor Suriya. Suri said that an elderly mother would have come to the sets knowing that the film was being shot and that the actor she liked was the lead. That’s what they came to see. But I could not see that mother because of the rush. They used to come and go back in despair of not being able to see him. They came and went for ten days. One day some people from the set came and said that the cameraman said that theirs was the last house in the nearby street. Suri said that she decided to meet them.
‘They said to get the mother’s blessing. Because nowadays even young people don’t recognize actors. It was a blessing that such an old mother came to me then. Those who came with me first went home and told me that I had come to see them. Mom, who was drinking porridge, came running with that hand, hugged her and kissed her a lot, telling her that she would be fine. Then he asked that the film was well done, why is it so bad now? I said it was a shepherd’s pie.’
