At least 60 cubic meters of solid waste, including tires, sacks, bags, Styrofoam, cardboard, clothing, plastic bottles, among others, was the result of a cleaning day in the Tambo River, “Callejón del Pueblo” sector. , in Cocachacra.

This activity was promoted by the National Water Authority (ANA), through the Tambo Alto Tambo Local Water Administration.

The report also indicated that hazardous waste was found, such as glass bottles, masks, and construction debris.

“Irresponsible neighbors have turned this part of the riverbed into a dump. This should make us reflect to become aware and correct our actions. Shrimp collector fishermen and the District Municipality of Cocachacra will be vigilant regarding this and they have been coordinating the installation of signs recalling the prohibition of these actions that are detrimental to ourselves as a society”, said Eng. Bernardo Nina, local administrator of Tambo Alto Tambo water.
