Officials of the National Highway Institute -INVÍAS- They managed to enable the highway that joins the municipalities of La Virginia and Apía in Risaralda with restricted passage to one lane.
The broken of the land, more the heavy rains of the last few hours have made the earth removal work difficultwhich began last Sunday when several landslides were generated that forced the closure of this road.
It is expected that in the next few hours said corridor can be enabled in its entirety, as indicated by Jairo Gallegocommander of the La Virginia Fire Department: “The road is already being prepared with yellow machinery, the workers are in permanent activity where the collapse occurred, the matter is complex, but there is already a single lane road.”
However, the authorities of both municipalities continue to ask extreme caution to those who regularly travel through this area known as El Muñeco, in the village of El Bosque de Apíasince there is a latent risk of more landslides.
