In Caracas, a meeting was held with all the national and regional authorities of the health sector, in order to establish the new areas to reactivate and which are a priority to improve care.
The activity was chaired by the Minister for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez Viña, and was accompanied by authorities from the Barrio Adentro Mission, the Cuban Medical Mission, and health authorities from all the states of Venezuela.
Manuel Maurera attended for Bolívar, who explained that the key objective of this meeting was to establish plans and projects to improve care in health centers that are at the service of the people.
He reported that the first task they have is the execution of programs in popular clinics, Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), Comprehensive Rehabilitation Rooms (SRI), High Technology Centers (CAT), opticians and dental offices.
He stressed that another of the topics discussed was the activities for emergency care in popular clinics, CDI, CAT and health centers.
“We also talked about permanent vaccination programs against covid-19, including intermittent days,” he added.
He explained that the meeting also served to discuss the construction of social movements or brigades, which are responsible for carrying out requirements of different pathologies.
