A 63 year old mechanic was savagely beaten for an alleged delivery delay of a van that was being repaired. The assailant surprised him in his workshop office in Devoto and attacked him in the face.
Carlos Rey, the victim, ended up unconscious from the blows he received and had to be hospitalized. Sequence was recorded by security cameras del local.
Now, that he is already discharged, the man was in charge of narrating in the media the attack that occurred on Tuesday night in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Devoto. “They put my head against the pavement and they began to hit me as if they were blows with a sledgehammer,” he recounted.

The mechanic pointed out that in the 30 years he has been working with his own workshop he had never had a problem, and clarified that whoever gave him the beating it was the son of a client because he was late with the delivery of a car he was fixing.
“I was finishing polishing the car, it was almost there”, he expressed. Rey also explained that he did not speak to the assailant before he attacked him and that he locked the door of his office so that none of his colleagues could assist him.
In that sense, he added: “He closed the door of my office so that no one enters. I had locked it, no one could help me. He didn’t say anything to me, he went and attacked me.”. The man said that a car crash had previously been fixed and that the problem goes back to the pandemic.
According to the testimony of Carlos Rey, during the pandemic he had around 15 cars left inside the workshop and when the quarry became more flexible, he found that he was missing different spare parts. “Little by little I put my chest up and took charge of the problems”he explained.
