Dr. Ashraf Zaki, head of the Syndicate of Acting Professions, decided to refer the workers in the movie First Year Kidnapping and the production company for investigation, for violating the union’s decision and forcing the actors to work 24 hours a day.
Ashraf Zaki told Cairo 24: The workers in the first-year film Kidnap forced the actors to film 24 hours and violated the union’s decision, and we decided to refer them for investigation in coordination with the Syndicate of Cinematic Professions, adding: Is it normal for him to work 24 hours, meaning that people die?
Earlier, the Board of Directors of the Representative Professions Syndicate, headed by Dr. Ashraf Zaki, decided; Unifying the working hours of the members in the artworks, and Ashraf confirmed in an official statement that the working hours will be 12 hours per day; This is to organize the work in accordance with the union’s controls, regulations, and laws, noting that the decision of the Board of Directors of the Representative Professions Syndicate; aims to preserve Egyptian soft power; As it came to the continuation of filming in one of the works of art to 52 hours.
The decision of the Acting Professions Syndicate Council came after the Harley movie crisis, starring Mohamed Ramadan, Mai Omar and Mahmoud Hamida, caused a sensation on social media, after Mohamed Ramadan stated that the filming lasted 52 hours, as he said: We are heroes because we filmed 53 continuous hours in Harley movie.. and this is a new record in my records.
At that time, the Film Professions Syndicate issued a decision regarding the number of filming hours for Harley, and representatives of the film producing company and those in charge of the film were summoned, who confirmed the authenticity of the incident and explained that this was a special circumstance and promised not to repeat it. The company confirmed its respect for the rules, laws and professional frameworks determined by the Syndicate.
It is noteworthy that the movie The First Year Was Kidnapped, starring Bayoumi Fouad, Ahmed Fathi and May Kassab, from a script and dialogue by Basil Magdy, directed by Osama Omar.
