Lois Walker was told she had health anxiety when she experienced severe stomach pains.
Lois Walker, 37, endured terrible pain in her stomach for 12 months.
But the doctors told her it was just anxiety.
It wasn’t until his son Ray was born via C-section in 2021 that he was diagnosed stage 4 cancerterminal.
Walker told the BBC that she went to several doctors’ appointments but was only told she might have irritable bowel syndrome or hypochondriasis.
“I don’t know what else I could have done. It was like no one wanted to listen“he counted.
“I told them ‘I feel like I’m going to die’ (from the pain). I wanted them to take me seriously, because I felt that something was very wrong,” he added.
Walker wrote a letter of complaint to his GP, who declined to comment due to patient confidentiality.
Barnsley Hospital in England also said it could not comment until a formal complaint was filed.
“Tumors Everywhere”
At the time Lois Walker was admitted to hospital for her son to be delivered by Caesarean section last year, surgeons found cancer in her ovaries, abdomen and lymph nodes.

“My abdomen was very bad, (there were) tumors everywhere. They said it was like a bag of sand that had opened and spread everywhere,” he described.
Walker, who has three children, said the diagnosis was a huge blow as she had just had her last child.
“It’s been very, very difficult,” he said.
“I didn’t want to get attached to him, but he is my ray of sunshine. My children are my purpose. I want to focus on creating memories. If love could save me, I would never die,” she added.
“Listen to your body”
His partner, Dale Wistow, opined that “this could have been detected earlier”.

“It’s a bit depressing, especially for the children. We don’t know what the future will bring us now,” he analyzed.
Walker now encourages other people to listen to their bodies and ask for help when they feel down.
“If there’s even one doctor who reads this and thinks ‘we have to do better,’ that’s fine,” he said.
“I wouldn’t want anyone to go through what I’m going through”said.
