Federal government authorities, the state governments of the State of Mexico and Coahuila, as well as the National Electoral Institute (INE), installed a mechanism to guarantee security in electoral processes.

At the INE facilities in Mexico City, it was agreed to implement a coordinated plan to protect candidates, build peace and contribute to peaceful electoral processes.

In this act, the Mexican governor, Alfredo del Mazo Maza, assured that the installation of this mechanism is a bridge between public actors and civil society, committing institutions, authorities and parties in the recovery of a more intense citizen participation, in addition to address democratic challenges.

Regarding the entity, it indicated that this mechanism together with the Integrity Agreement signed with the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judiciary and the Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM), constitute the coordination mechanisms to conduct the process. electoral process within a framework of governability, legality and respect.

And it is that he pointed out that 12 million 565 thousand 315 voters have been registered, so it will be the largest election in the history of Edoméx, adding that on election day 20 thousand 502 polling stations will be installed in 6 thousand 561 sections in the 125 municipalities.

At the same time, he commented that specific security actions will be taken throughout the contest, stating that up to now they have the trust of society and the support of state political parties.

“We promise to openly attend to electoral institutions, citizen organizations, political parties and generate the conditions of governability and stability that give certainty to the citizen’s will. With this conviction, the Mexican society celebrates this great agreement for the development, peace and democracy of the State of Mexico”, he said.

Meanwhile, the president of the INE, Guadalupe Taddei, told the public that in addition to correctly organizing the elections and properly implementing all the stages of the process, through these coordination mechanisms they seek to generate peace of mind for the vote and the installation of polling stations.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to the INE, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Citizen Security and Protection, the Office of the Special Prosecutor for Electoral Crimes, as well as the state governments of Coahuila and the State of Mexico, the National Guard, the Ministry of the National Defense, the Secretary of the Navy, the National Intelligence Center, the Financial Intelligence Unit, the Attorney General of the Republic and the Legal Counsel of the Presidency of the Republic.
