They held a conference on “Practical management in climacteric medicine”

This morning began the Conference on “Practical Management in Climacteric Medicine”, organized by the Argentine Association for the Study of Climacteric (AAPEC) and the NEA Delegation, in the Hall of the Two Constitutions of the House of Representatives of Misiones.

The activity aimed at medical professionals from different specialties, dealt with issues of hormone therapy 20 years from the WIH, cardiovascular health, bone health, cervivaginal infections, genitourinary syndrome of menopause and sexuality in the climacteric, among others.

The opening ceremony was preceded by the Minister of Health Oscar Alarcón, the president of the renovating bloc of the House of Representatives, Deputy Martín Cesino, the president of the Argentine Association for the Study of the Climate Dr. Rita Caro and its director of the NEA for Misiones , Dr. Delia Arce.

The objective of the conference is to promote and disseminate knowledge about the approach and treatment of the climacteric and menopause, as well as the pathologies and prevalent associated alterations, to improve the quality of life of women at this stage, seeking training and improvement of the scientific community from the different specialties, with an interdisciplinary point of view and with the emphasis placed on prevention.

Within this framework, the president of the Argentine Association for the Study of the Climatorium, Dr. Rita Calo, explained that this association has 35 years of experience, “in these years we have been busy training professionals and helping our patients in feel discriminated against during menopause, that this is not a word exclusion, but to think that it is the longest stage of a woman’s life and that we have a lot to do, that is why we have to act through training and education, to that women spend this stage of their lives in a healthy way”.

At the same time, the director of the NEA, Dr. Delia Arce expressed, “it is a pride to have the presence of the climacteric school team, they are professionals with extensive experience and committed to this issue, it is very important that they can provide their knowledge to the medical missionary population for the care of women”.

For this to be possible, it is necessary to understand them in this complex stage, acquire information and know how to carry out this discipline. With this, several things are achieved, such as providing timely treatment, which allows the prevalent diseases to be lowered and why not think about a healthy longevity, then guiding women in this facet is a very important challenge, ”he stressed.

For his part, the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Oscar Alarcón pointed out, “we are clear that visualizing a pathology or a health problem and putting it within the framework of a law means budgeting and investing economic resources to be able to guarantee that this works and is at the service of the people”.

That is why we began to work on a standard that establishes a regulatory framework to work on this, which is so important for this stage of life in which women will have to go through and we must do what is necessary to improve it, which is why we are here today. To continue training our colleagues through professionals, visualizing this theme and valuing a stage of life”.

Finally, the deputy Martín Cesino He thanked those who made this event possible, which is so important for the entire community and health teams.

The great strength that the province has is teamwork, we, the executive and the legislature, are committed to inter-institutional work, something that strengthens us as a state, but mainly to help people with laws and regulations that benefit their quality of life. That is why we believe it is important to talk about these topics that seem taboo, which is why we are preparing a program for a comprehensive approach to climacteric and menopause”.

Councilor Daniel Vancsik, the president of the Misiones medical college Dr. Luis Flores, the president of the Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics Dr. Ernesto Irrazábal and hospital managers and healthcare area leaders were also present during the event.
