Personnel from the “Núcleo” Section dependent on Squadron 50 “Posadas”, were carrying out a road prevention operation on National Route 105, at the Fachinal Toll, when they stopped the march of a long distance bus.
During the inspection of the trunk of the vehicle, the officials observed a bag that emanated a strong odor, characteristic of marijuana. When analyzed using the scanner, the presence of several packages that would contain organic substance was confirmed.
Members of Criminalistics and Forensic Studies, before witnesses, opened the bag and verified the existence of eight amorphous packages containing vegetable substance, which following being subjected to Narcotest field tests, yielded positive results for cannabis sativa, with a total weight of 8 kilos 845 grams of marijuana.
The Federal Prosecutor’s Office of Posadas intervened in the case, who ordered the seizure of the substance and filed proceedings in violation of Law 23,737 on “Narcotics”.
