A Bolivian teacher has been suspended from her position and is currently under investigation for corruption of minors following asking students to bring semen samples to a biology class.
The objective? To make them “smell” their classmates, according to the same story of the teacher spread this Tuesday in the local media.
Because of the situation, which sparked controversy both in Santa Cruz As in the rest of the country, the teacher was suspended from her job.
The fact was known in the last hours, but it happened three months ago in a school in the municipality of Minero, regarding 100 kilometers from the city of Santa Cruz, teaching content on the male reproductive system.

The teacher clarified that it was a “suggestion”, so no one fulfilled the “homework” in her classroom.
“No one brought practical work,” he said in statements to the press.
“I have small children, I am not a pervert. I apologize to parents, students and the society that includes Bolivia. We are human beings, we err and this time it was my turn, ”she added.
The teacher has already apologized to the parents and the population in general for the situation and maintained that at no time was her intention to “pervert” her children, but rather to give them a class on sexual orientation..

Scandal in Bolivia
The case came to light on Tuesday following a parent of one of the fifth-year high school students reported the teacher to the Public Ministry for “corruption of minors.”
The director of the Special Force to Fight Violence (Felcv) of Santa Cruz, Carlos Oporto, reported that the investigation is already underway and that the district director of education, as well as the director of the educational unit.
“At the moment we are seeing the psychological interview of the Minero high school students. With what is going to happen in the psychological interview, we are going to take measures,” Porto said.
For his part, the lawyer for the Ombudsman for Children of Santa Cruz, Daniel Ponce, said that they adhere to the investigation and that they will follow up on the case.
Meanwhile, the departmental director of education, Edwin Huayllani, indicated that the teacher “has been suspended from the corresponding function for the duration of the investigation.”
