Colombian authorities, in collaboration with the NGO Operation Underground Railroad, dismantled a criminal organization dedicated to human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, reported the National Police.

After four months of investigation, 10 suspects were arrested, including a woman identified as alias Camila, alleged pimp and leader of the gang that operated in the cities of Bogotá and Cúcuta.

According to the document, during the Chameleon operation, “three night entertainment venues and brothel houses were raided in the crowded area of ​​Venice, in the country’s capital.”

As a result, four adolescents were rescued, three of them of Venezuelan nationality whose ages range between 14 and 17 years.

According to the document, alias Camila practiced esoteric rituals in which tobacco was smoked, drinks, ointments and oils were prepared that the victims supposedly consumed and applied to their private parts in order to attract applicants for sexual services.

So far this year, the Police details, 2,865 people have been arrested “for crimes of sexual connotation that affect childhood and adolescence,” and 4,709 minor victims of sexual crimes have been placed in the custody of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare.
