They seek to recognize medicine as a high-risk profession

After two years of the pandemic, an initiative was presented to the Chamber of Deputies to consider the work carried out by medical personnel who treat COVID-19 patients as “high-risk jobs”, by deputy Ivón Salazar Morales.

The initiative has the purpose of reforming the State Civil Pensions Law, so that the doctor has legal certainty, justice and reaches a pension or retirement.

The proposed reform presented by the legislator of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) to Section E Bis, regarding the Exception Regime for Members of Public Security Institutions, puts health personnel on a par with public security elements.

This in terms of social security, since the tasks that both types of public servants carry out are equal, as they are in a high-risk situation.
