During a parcel export check at the Maiquetía International Airport, the GNB seized 84 packages of cocaine hidden in 42 pairs of women’s shoes, as reported by the newspaper La Verdad de Vargas.
The drug was seized by troops assigned to Zone Command No. 45 La Guaira, together with the 45 Special Anti-Drug Unit.
The cocaine yielded a total weight of 1,229 kilograms and was hidden in the false bottom of 42 pairs of shoes and was destined for Italy.
In this case, the military began investigations to determine who is involved.
Likewise, the national guards assigned to the Second Company of Detachment No. 451 intensified the export checks of parcels. Due to the procedure, the Public Ministry was notified.
