In the morning hours of this Monday, April 24, a man stabbed in the neck the person in charge of the headquarters of the Radical Civic Union (UCR) located on Corrientes avenue, in the center of the City of Buenos Aires. The victim is hospitalized in serious condition.
The event occurred around 9:45 a.m. on Avenida Corrientes at 1783, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of San Nicolás, where a party headquarters operates.
There the man received a stab wound to the neck, and his assailant –who then ran to take refuge in a subway station– upon being arrested said that it was an attack for “political reasons”, as stated telam from police sources.

According to this information, the person in charge of that building, identified by the police as Lucas Sebastian Lopezwas attacked by another man, who with a blade stabbed him in the neck and cut his limbs, whereupon he ran away.
The attacker tried to enter the Callao station on subway line B, located at the intersection of Corrientes and Callao avenues. However, there he was detained by agents of the Buenos Aires City Police and was housed in the area’s sectional at the disposal of the courts.
For his part, the person in charge is at the Ramos Mejía Hospital by an ambulance from the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME) and remains hospitalized in serious condition with deep cuts to his neck and extremities, according to police spokesmen.
In the case, the National Criminal and Correctional Court 21 intervenes, in charge of Judge Marcos Fernández, who initiated proceedings for the “illicit investigation” and entrusted the expert reports to the Criminal Unit of the City Police.
Instead of the fact, a blade was found, which is presumed to have been used by the attacker and was kidnapped.
