Anticipating the closing of the business was not enough to discourage criminals, since three hours later, around 7:30 p.m., a group made up of 20 young began to hang around the place until the attack began. The first thing they did was set fire to the depot and then they went to tear down the sliding gate of the business.
With the gate already knocked down, they twisted the metal blinds until they managed to upload them and enter the place. Once inside, they destroyed everything, taking everything they found along the way, including merchandise and appliances.
“Very afraid. I came here 15 years ago and it’s the first time this has happened to me. First they threw stones, then they set fires and then they broke the blinds. they took everythingor”, said Elena, the owner of the place, in dialogue with All News (TN) and complained about the lack of police response.

“We called the Police for an hour and a half, but no one came”claimed the owner of the supermarket and explained that they had already been “alerted” about the possibility that the looting would begin.

Unfortunately, as neighbors we couldn’t do anything against 50 violent people. I feel very sorry because the supermarket owners are hard-working people.”
“The number of alcoholic bottles that were carried was impressive. In the end they did steal noodles and food, but at the beginning it was all alcohol,” he remarked.
Beyond the destruction and material damage, during the attack the owner of the business received a brick on the head and he had to remain hospitalized for two hours until he was discharged. He himself, as revealed by a local worker, contemplates the idea of return to china since he “lost everything”.
“They are all acquaintances who come every day to buy. We see them shopping every day,” said Johana, a supermarket cashier, while another employee added: “They are blood suckers. They came to buy here every day and now everything has been stolen. When they saw us they lowered their heads.”
