Due to the maintenance work of the equipment for its operation, the Aburrá Oriente Tunnel Concession announced that the vehicular restriction will begin at 10:00 p.m. and will last until 4:00 a.m. on Thursday.. Tomorrow, Wednesday night, this road will be completely closed.
The authorities recommend taking alternate routes to go to the José María Córdova airport, in Rionegro, and to Eastern Antioquia.
The suggested routes are the Medellín-Bogotá highway, the road to Santa Elena and the variant to Las Palmasroutes that are more extensive, for which travelers are advised to leave with more time than projected.
When these works are finished, traffic will be reopened in the tunnel without restriction for private and public service vehicles traveling on this road.
