Thibaut Anselmet won everything

Thibault Anselmet is a complete skier. He demonstrated it once more during these French championships by winning all disciplines. Saturday evening, and as during the individual a week earlier, he fought a great battle with Xavier Gachet to claim victory in the Verticale Race.

A few hundred meters from the finish line, the two men chained attacks without managing to break away. And while Gachet was in full acceleration, Anselmet redoubled his efforts to finally win. Behind, another fight, for the podium between Gédéon Pochat (La Clusaz) and Samuel Equy (Team Isère Montagne). And it was, this time, in the short descent to the finish line that the difference was made. Pochat climbed onto the box and Equy remained at the foot for less than a second.

Among the women, Emily Harrop did not remain in doubt for long, and won a third title following the sprint and the individual. The Courchevel champion relegated Célia Perillat-Pessey, (La Clusaz), to almost a minute. Margot Ravinel (Chamonix) completed the podium.

Finally, on Sunday, during the mixed relay, Célia Perillat-Pessey and Thibault Anselmet won ahead of the pair Emily Harrop/Baptiste Elmenreich and the duo Laura Deplanche and Robin Galindo.
