We certainly cannot accuse Thibaut Courtois and his wife, Mishel Gerzig, of racism. And yet, the Belgian-Israeli duo cannot stop the bleeding on social networks. This certainly won’t stop them from sleeping, but still. They continue to lose fans who followed him… all because they showed their support for the families bereaved by the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7.
The Israeli press told us that the couple had quickly made a donation of 200,000 shekels (€47,000) for the families of settlers who had to leave their villages during this massacre. This did not please some of the Belgian’s followers on Instagram who, two weeks earlier, still had 15 million followers.

There, he had gone down to… 14,432,575 followers, a drop of almost 600,000 people. This Friday, the drop was still present but less significant with “only” 14,385,344 followers, a further drop of 47,231 subscribers. According to Israeli media, it was pro-Palestinian and Hamas supporters who deleted the star from their Instagram.
As for Mishel, still two weeks ago, she lost 27,000 followers in a few days, going from 805,000 to 778,000. This Friday, there are “only” 766,961 left, a further drop of 11,039 subscribers. Thibaut hasn’t posted anything since his marriage.
Mishel now only posts stories. The latest is the video of little Kfir, the 10-month-old baby who was kidnapped by Hamas. And whose death we fear…
