Thiem falls back in the world rankings

Dominic Thiem has lost 60 places in the tennis world rankings and is currently in 232nd place. As of today, Monday, the Lower Austrian lost 90 points from the quarter-finals in Montreal 2019. Filip Misolic remains the best Austrian, improving slightly to place 136 (+1). Thiem is only the home number six behind Jurij Rodionov (139), Dennis Novak (155), Gerald Melzer (190) and Sebastian Ofner (225).

Russian Daniil Medvedev remains at the top of the rankings ahead of Alexander Zverev and Rafael Nadal. Novak Djokovic is sixth. In the women’s world rankings, still led by Iga Swiatek, Paula Badosa (3rd) and Maria Sakkari (4th) swapped places. Best Austrian is Julia Grabher in 131st place, 20-year-old Sinja Kraus made it into the top 200 for the first time (195th).
