The ‘Thai Food Festival’ has started with food from Thailand at Nesto Hypermarkets in the UAE. A Thai food fair will be held at Major Nesto branches in various emirates from next month until the third. The Thai Ambassador to the UAE inaugurated the fair the other day.
Different and delicious Thai dishes and products have been prepared in the food festival which started under the title of Think Food, Think Thai.
Live cooking of Thai dishes such as Pad Thai, Khaa Pad, Gond Pad Gay, etc. was a different experience for those who came to enjoy the fair. The attractions of the fair are various kinds of fruits and salads from Thailand such as karik, mango, guava.
The fair was inaugurated by Swarayut Chashampat, Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE at Nesto Hypermarket, Jumeirah Village Circles, Dubai. The ambassador said that Thai food fairs are very important as a country that exports large quantities of food products to the UAE.
Nesto Group Managing Directors Siddique Palolathil and KP Jamal were the chief guests at the inaugural function.
Director of the Thai Trade Center in Dubai, Ptchai Ratananaka, and Ms. Nipa Nirannoot, Consul General of Thailand appointed to Dubai, were also present at the opening event. Nesto Buying Head Rashid Aram said that more than a thousand Thai dishes will be specially displayed at the fair.
Nesto Group Executive Secretary Amina said that they will include more Thai dishes in the fair to satisfy their customers.
The eleven-day fair is organized in collaboration with the International Trade Promotion or DITP of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand.
