We have rarely seen such positive comments under a YouTube video, however, fans seem to almost all agree that Baldur’s Gate 3 is going to be a bonanza and this trailer showed just how hard the team had worked on the project. More than 20 years after the first game, Baldur’s Gate 3 is slated for late summer 2023 and promises to be loaded with content as the new trailer shows us more.
The focus of this trailer is relatively simple: to show how Baldur is a city in which players can get lost and experience real immersion.
“There are crowds walking around everywhere. You can talk to almost anyone, and they respond to anything.” explain Swen Vincke, CEO of Larian Studios. For the teams, creating a city that lived up to the hype of the players was a real challenge, and the developers admit having invested three or four times more effort in the city than initially planned.
The biggest challenge of this city was to offer an experience without interruption, to do so, there will be absolutely no loading time.
“Whether you’re investigating subterranean crypts, traversing the chambers of a towering citadel, or descending into hidden cellars, no visible loading screens will interrupt your experience.“
A titanic job for the developers that the fans have noticed. After a long time in Early Access, Baldur’s Gate 3 is on the verge of official release, scheduled for August 2023.
