Yesterday was the day chosen by Samsung to present in society its new range of premium flagshipsa trident that is led by the Galaxy S24 Ultra, a terminal that stands out for having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, with a camera system with a 200 MP main sensor and a new 50 MP telephoto sensor and with a host of new AI features called Galaxy AI.
But those are not the only new features that Samsung’s new flagship includes, since the Galaxy S24 Ultra also has a state-of-the-art glass protector for its 6.8-inch screen that has been made with a new material called Corning Gorilla Glass Armor, which quadruples the protection against scratches compared to traditional lenses.

The two main characteristics of the Corning Gorilla Glass Armor that protects the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra are increased scratch resistance and improved glare reduction in bright sunlight.
Regarding the first of them, Corning assures that Gorilla Glass Armor has superior durability compared to aluminosilicate crystals seen until now and to prove it, the researchers from this manufacturer of protective glass for screens carried out a laboratory test that simulates the classic micro-scratches of daily use, after which they confirmed that the material hardly suffered any scratches, thus demonstrating that this is Four times stronger than equivalent aluminosilicate glass covers.
Regarding the second, Corning claims that, compared to a traditional glass surface, Gorilla Armor is capable of reduce screen glare by up to 75%resulting in optimized viewing even under bright light.
In addition, this new material is also environmentally friendly, something with which Samsung is quite identified, since incorporates 25% recycled material.
Samsung has been collaborating with Corning to protect the screens of its terminals since 1973 and, in fact, both the first Galaxy smartphones and the recent Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 have Gorilla Glass crystals.
