We will probably never thank the independent engineers, who spend day and night, on the basis of intuitions, to dissect the applications and services that we use every day. It is thanks to their extraordinary work that the worst practices of the tech giants are brought to light. Practices that are sometimes corrected, or at least exposed to the general public.
