This is the new budget speaker from Sonos

Sonos is getting close to releasing a new entry-level soundbar, you see. The new device, codenamed “Fury” and officially known as the S36 model, are other speakers that will join the company’s lineup under the $449 package and $899 main bow.

It appears that Sonos is no longer ready to advance the low-cost speaker market to Vizio and other competitors as the new product is expected to sell for around $249. It’s much cheaper than any Sonos speakers yet. It is currently slated to be released on June 7th in a few weeks.

You’ve seen real pictures of the new speakers On the edge I used it to create 3D renderings for this article. It’s not the right choice, but it’s enough to give you the gist. (you can trust meThink.) Like the Arc and Beam, Sonos’ budget speakers will be offered in black and white.

Here’s the 3D entertainment design of the new Sonos soundbar. This strictly reduces the number of speakers compared to the beam and bracket.

The device is more compact than the Sonos Beam – it’s no wonder it has fewer drivers.

  • Sonos S36 “Fury”: 550 mm (width) x 69 mm (depth) x 100 mm (height)
  • Sonos Beam (Gen 2): 651 mm (width) x 68.6 mm (depth) x 100 mm (height)

Expected at a lower price point, the new Sonos Soundbar will omit some features, such as Dolby Atmos, and won’t have built-in microphones for voice assistant functionality. Sonos will establish this as a soundbar for TV and music, leaving the Smarts to its precious siblings. In fact, the internal specifications indicate that this product does not even have an HDMI port (the box comes with an optical cable only). This limits the new speakers to Dolby Digital Surround sound. If you have other compatible Sonos speakers, you can expand them to a 5.1 system.

Here’s an interesting fact: Sonos expects a large number of customers to use the new speakers in tandem with the high-end Sonos Arc. So, for that reason, the company has developed a wall mount that allows Fury — again, I don’t know the codename and final brand — to be mounted vertically in addition to the standard horizontal orientation.

Sonos has yet to announce its upcoming speakers. So I’m really excited to be doing this for them, and I expect all of us to hear more (and name) about the S36 and the company’s home theater aspirations in the coming weeks. On the edge Approach the company to get their opinions.

Sonos includes other products in development Inexpensive mini amplifier (model S37) and the company’s long-rumored wireless headphones. The latter will bring Sonos into a new product category for the first time since expanding into portable speakers with the Move and ROM.
