This is the subsidy on electricity bills for September

The Ministry of Environment and Energy announces today, Tuesday, August 29, 2023, the continuation of support measures for electricity bills.

In particular, with regard to September, the subsidies for electricity in household tariffs and for all main and non-main residence services, without income criteria and regardless of provider, are structured as follows:

For monthly consumptions up to 500kWh, the subsidy increases compared to the previous month and amounts to €15/MWh. This category occupies 90% of households in Greece.
Those with a monthly consumption of more than 500 kWh will receive the same support, provided that they reduce their average daily energy consumption by 15%, compared to the corresponding last year.

For households included in the Social Household Tariff (COT), the aid amounts to €50/MWh for the total consumption and absorbs 100% of the increased cost.
In addition, for farmers, regardless of supply power and voltage level, the aid increases compared to the previous month and amounts to €15/MWh, for the entire monthly consumption.

The value of electricity support for households and farmers, in September, exceeds, in total, 21.4 million euros.
